Ingredients:
200 grams of powdered sugar
2 tbsp cinnamon
8 tbsp water
1 tbsp lemon juice
250 g ground tigernuts / Chufas
1 tbsp grated orange zest
possibly some flour
For the icing:
150g powdered sugar
a little water
1 tsp cinnamon
Preparation:
Mix all the ingredients together except for the flour and knead carefully.
Dust the work surface generously with flour. This is very important because the dough is very sticky.
If the dough is too sticky, feel free to knead in a little more flour.
Then roll out.
Cut out stars with star cutters.
Baking time:
• Bake at 175 °C / 347ºF for 5 minutes.
• Important: no longer, as the cinnamon stars quickly become too dry!
• During the baking time stir the icing so that it is very thick.
• Spread it over the still warm/hot cinnamon stars
